Janelle is one of the original chefs who inspire viewers daily on the high-rating Network 10/Southern Star production of READY STEADY COOK, now in its tenth year on air. When asked to describe the show, she says: ‘It’s challenging and chaotic, but the most fun I’ve had in a kitchen and the best job I have ever had!’
In November 2008, Random House Australia published Janelle’s gorgeous cookbook (now a best seller) FAST, FRESH & FABULOUS, the first in 10 years for Janelle. It’s a beautiful collection of many of her special recipes that she hopes will encourage readers to try her no-fuss approach to food both family and friends will love. Having hit the best sellers list Janelle has produced three follow up books, the latest in the collection came out in November 2011… MY FAVOURITE FOOD FOR ALL SEASONS.
Janelle has contributed to many publications as a Food Editor, writer and food stylist for over 18 years and has been part of the audition team searching for Masterchef contestants.
Janelle contributes to numerous charities and community programs, with Ronald Mcdonald House (Randwick) topping the list, where she has been the Ambassador for 10 years as well as a weekly volunteer. She says “working as a volunteer puts everything into perspective. It’s something we should all do”.
When Janelle has some precious downtime she loves to read, swim, exercise (to work off all the food she eats) and of course… cook!
